LIZ SALE

Liz Sale is a writer, performer, comic, director, producer, teacher recently relocated to Los Angeles from the Bay Area. Sheā€™s spent most of her life on a stage or on a film set.  Liz started her stage career performing comedy sketches inspired by characters created by Carol Burnett, Gilda Radner, Molly Shannon, Melissa McCarthy and Kristen Wiig.  In High School she was awarded best actress for 4 years. She received a BA with honors in film, theater and dance studies at UC Santa Cruz and MFA with honors at the San Francisco Art Institute in experimental film and new genre performance studies. She founded and directed an award winning experimental performance group called The Performance Group who curated and performed site specific work throughout the Bay Area.   She spent 3 years studying and performing in the BATS Improv community. For the last 13 years sheā€™s written and performed over 20 solo shows under direction of award-winning performers, directors and comedians Martha Rynberg and W. Kamau Bell in their Solo Performance Workshop and 10 solo shows working with The Groundlings alum and award-winning Off-Broadway solo performer Ann Randolph,  performing throughout the Bay Area at Stagewerx, The Marsh, Mojo Theater, A.Muse, CJM,  and The Phoenix.  She studied stretch work and acting for 5 years with Bobby Weinapple of Seydway Acting Studios. She is currently absorbed in the stand-up comedy scene in Los Angeles, performing and producing shows at Nicole Blaineā€™s The Crow Comedy and Bobbie Oliverā€™s Tao Comedy and studying sketch writing with Ken Cosby.  Lizā€™s comedy shows live at the intersection of inclusion, healing arts, physical comedy and trauma-informed women-centered topics.
